Jane Brucker is a painter, sculptor, poet, video, and installation artist interested in spiritual issues. In her work she examines memory, fragility, beauty, and death by constructing both large-scale and intimate pieces from found objects and family heirlooms.
Her work has been exhibited at venues throughout the United States, as well as internationally. In Los Angeles her work is represented by Newspace Gallery. She also participates in community arts projects, most recently creating a collaborative exhibition with developmentally disabled adults at First Street Art Gallery in Claremont, California, and serving as artist in residence at the Educational Alliance in New York. As a Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, she teaches painting, drawing and Senior Thesis.
