Dancers perform onstage at the Fall '19 Faculty Concert

Hone your performance skills in a variety of concerts and venues.

Each year, the Dance program presents several concerts, both formal and informal. In the fall, selected faculty and guest artists create work for “An Evening of Concert Dance,” a fully-produced concert on the main stage in Strub Theatre. Each spring, the Dance program fully produces the students’ choreography for main stage performance in our “Annual Student Concert,” as well as presents student work in “Impulse,” and the “Senior Thesis Concert.” Students can also dance in Theatre program musicals, university research and social justice forums, as well as other University events.

Mainstage Performance at LMU
Our mainstage concerts in LMU’s beautiful Strub Theatre feature work from world-renowned choreographers, talented faculty members and our brilliant students. The two mainstage events are the Fall Faculty Concert where students work with professional choreographers, and the Spring Student Concert, which features original student work, providing our budding choreographers with the full production experience including lighting and costume design.
