IDAP caters to students who are interested in careers in public relations, marketing, advertising, broadcast journalism, digital/social media and event planning. Courses are intended to provide students with an initial understanding of these fields, so that they may begin to develop the creative and critical skills required to have successful careers after college.
IDAP classes provide students with opportunities to acquire skills in creative conceptualization, writing, presenting, technology and collaborative group work. Courses often involve high-profile guest speakers as well as working directly with local companies and non-profit organizations so students get real-world experience in the careers they’re interested in pursuing.
