As a professional actor Jim performed in the film Transformers II and the pliot episode of Lie To Me with Tim Roth. He also played the lead role of Brad Sanders alongside Eric Roberts in The Whole Truth which premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival. On stage Jim played multiple roles in On The Front Line,which showed at The Actors’ Gang Los Angeles WTF festival and at the USVeterans Artists’ Alliance in Culver City. Here at LMU for Playwrights Center Stage Jim played Gaspar in The Dyers Hand and the father in Anatomy of a Brain Injury. He also appeared in three National Television Commercials.
Jim worked as a director at the 2009 Association for Theatre in Higher Education Conference in New York with playwright Jami Brandli on her one act, WAS, exploring the consequences of one soldier’s actions inIraq. In Los Angeles at the Pico Playhouse he directed two One Acts – Identity Theft and Leftovers by Gloria Calderon Kellett for Drinking Games, a benefit for ovarian cancer. At the 33rd Annual Comparative Drama Conference he directed Platonic Love by Stratos Constantinidis. For Talent Ventures, Inc. Los Angeles he directed the annual agency showcase of student actors.
Jim is also active with the Kennedy Center American College Theatre festival as a respondent to New Works and various shows around the western United States. In 2009 he agreed to serve on their board for theNational Playwrighting Program.
