This annual exhibition celebrates the work created by LMU Studio Arts students over the past year. Spanning the range of media taught in the program, the works are chosen by two jurors from LA's art community. The exhibition and its cash awards are made possible by Andrea Kingaard Friedman, '66 and the Southern California Metal Arts Society.

About the Jurors

Rebecca Morse is Associate Curator in the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She was previously Associate Curator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) where she organized Amanda Ross Ho: Teeny Tiny Woman, Cai Guo-Qiang: Ladder to the Sky, Rodarte: States of Matter, The Artist's Museum, and Florian Maier-Aichen. She has written about the evolving relationship between photography and sculpture, contemporary photography and the hotel, and photography's changing role in contemporary art beginning in the 1980s.

Aandrea Stang is the recently appointed director of OxyArts, a newly created arts programming initiative at Occidental College. From 2002 until 2012 she served as Senior Education Program Manager at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) where she was responsible for the museum's public programming. While there she developed and produced special programming for exhibitions such as Allan Kaprow — Art as Life (2008); William Leavitt: Theater Objects (2011) and Under the Big Black Sun: California Art 1974-1981 (2011). From 2008 to 2012 she oversaw MOCA's Engagement Party program. Prior to her work at MOCA, Ms. Stang held positions at local government and community-based arts organizations. She has served as adjunct faculty for USC's Public Art Studies Program and Occidental College's Department of Art History and Visual Art. In 2009 she co-organized the exhibition Not Los Angeles for the Fellows of Contemporary Art and in 2012 served as co-curator for Baker's Dozen IV at the Torrance Art Museum.
