June Edmonds: Full Spectrum

The solo exhibition "June Edmonds: Full Spectrum" was a forty-year survey of Los Angeles-based artist June Edmonds. This show, consisting of more than forty pieces made between 1980 and 2021, was the first opportunity to place Edmonds’s artworks in dialogue with one another and to offer overdue critical attention to the artist’s lifelong commitment to portraying Black positivity in her artistic practice. On view from Sept. 25, 2021 to March 13, 2022

Young Contemporaries 2021

The Laband Art Gallery’s Annual Juried Student Exhibition is open to all students who have taken a Studio Arts class during the past school year. The Laband encourages students to submit their best work in any media of their choosing including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, graphic design, sculpture, and multimedia. We invite two professionals who are active in Los Angeles’s art world to serve as co-jurors. Now in its 37th year, this exhibition serves as an excellent first professional experience for student artists and celebrates their flourishing creativity.
