LMU's Communication Studies major provides students with the tools to understand organizational, relational, rhetorical, and intercultural communication phenomena, as well as media studies and practices of public relations. Students develop the tools to recognize the way that messages influence people in the workplace, the home, public forums, and in digital media environments. Informed by critical and philosophical perspectives, the program teaches students to become more effective communicators who use their knowledge and skills to enjoy satisfying personal and professional lives while helping to make a more socially just world.
