Thomas Riley High School (TRHS) Program

Facilitated by current students and alum of the LMU MFT/Art Therapy Program since 2007, this program provides weekly art therapy services to underserved, pregnant, and parenting teens both at LMU and at TRHS located in Watts, LA.

 

 

 

Summer Arts Workshop

This annual week-long therapeutic art camp began in 2007, and is intended for primarily low-income Latino middle school students who are impacted by adversity. It is facilitated by LMU MFT/Art Therapy graduate students.

Over the course of the week, middle-school student participants are invited to LMU to create unique individual pieces which become part of a collaborative installation piece at a final exhibition at the end of the week. 

 

 

HBL Art Therapy Clinic Practicum Program

This student training program provides art therapy to underserved elementary and high schools across Los Angeles with weekly art therapy services facilitated by LMU MFT/Art Therapy graduate students.

 

 

 

 

 

Cedars-Sinai Cancer Art Therapy Program

Individual and group art therapy services for cancer patients and survivors held at Cedars-Sinai.

Veteran Art Therapy Group

Group art therapy program begun in the fall of 2019 for veterans facilitated by LMU MFT/Art Therapy alum at the University of Riverside in Irvine.

American Red Cross (ARC) Los Angeles

This program supports disaster and trauma response through art therapy.
