Jason James Panzino '23
Started an acting company called The Actor’s Establishment in August 2020 and has been teaching free classes to actors who have been hit by the pandemic, utilizing his own theories and what he’s learned from the Performance Pedagogy program.
Milica Vrzic '20
Filmed three episodes of the CW series, The Outpost, where she plays a character named Ana. The show has been filming in her home country of Serbia for the last three seasons.
Rachel Kaftan '21
As a combined project for her Theatre Arts senior thesis and Jewish Studies capstone, Rachel has written an autobiographical solo show, BOY VEY, that she will perform via livestream on April 25th, 2021 from the Pico Playhouse. The script was picked up by two female producers outside of LMU, and is directed by LMU Theatre Arts major Katie Stottlemire '21. Lara Goncalves '20, a graduate of the LMU Theatre Arts Department, is working on the poster graphics.
Marley Freygang '18
Recently launched her podcast, Confessions of a Wannabe It Girl. The podcast has a dark sense of humor and explores the reality of living in Los Angles, a town where everyone wants to be famous.
Amaris Gagnon '18
Within the past three years, Amaris has worked on shows such as The Real Housewives of Dallas and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She was also in the 2019-2020 Production Coordinator Program at NBCUniversal, where she worked as a coordinator on The Kelly Clarkson Show and World of Dance. Currently, Amaris is working on a scripted series as the assistant to the director and producer for Netflix Animation, as well as working in the writers’ room as a writer assistant. She is a Short Category winner in the Los Angeles Crime and Horror Film Festival, a semi-finalist in the Filmmatic TV Pilot Awards, and an award winner at the Austin Spotlight Film Festival for Best Twist for a horror short she wrote. Her main goal is to become a staff writer in television, and she credits her success to the foundations built at LMU and the networking that propelled her to high-profile gigs.
