Career Pathways

Collaboration is at the heart of a Theatre Arts degree, and students apply the knowledge and skills they learn in many different types of organizations

Professional theatres, film, tv, and commercial productions enable young professionals to directly apply their craft. Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world and offers many opportunities for all disciplines in theatre (acting, directing, design, history, playwriting, technical theatre).

Non-profit organizations seek social justice oriented team-players who are creative problem-solvers and empathize with others in different situations.

Educational opportunities enable young professionals to use their theatre training to engage young students in active, fun, pedagogical ways. It’s called “show-business” for a reason. Theatre students can adeptly collaborate, develop new ideas, and manage their time and resources effectively.

Internships

These opportunities provide real-world experiences for students to develop their skills and explore the working world. Students may complete an internship for credit. Please meet with your advisor. Students must complete an Independent Study Form and these Internship Forms. Theatre Arts students have recently interned with the following companies.
