Michele Hammers, Associate Dean

Michele serves as advisor to students and CFA faculty engaged in the advising process; monitors students' academic progress and guides students who may be subject to academic disqualifications; partners with other colleges and student support services across the university to enhance CFA students' educational experience; and assists with issues related to student challenges.

Elaine Walker, Assistant Dean

Elaine helps students to clarify educational and life goals, guides students who are struggling academically and assists those on academic probation, helps students to prepare for undergraduate research and scholarship applications, approves study abroad plans and transfer courses for currently enrolled students, partners with other colleges and student support services across the university to address services for CFA students, assists students with academic policy questions and academic advising protocols, and helps students to understand Degree Progress Reports.

Jameia McDuffie, Academic Advisor

Jameia helps students understand degree requirements; create, clarify, and refine educational goals and plans; explore curricular and co-curricular opportunities; select majors; understand academic policies and procedures; connect with faculty members and university resources; address concerns and challenges both inside and outside the classroom that impact academic success; determine academic goals and develop meaningful educational plans.

Rachel Van Houten, Senior Coordinator of Academic Services

Rachel coordinates a full range of services to support the undergraduate academic experience from orientation to graduation, including academic advisement, evaluation of transfer courses, recommendation of curricular exceptions and substitutions, and analysis of individual progress toward degree completion.
