LMU's Communication Studies program houses the Upsilon Phi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Honor Society for Four Year Communication Studies Programs. Named for Aristotle's persuasive tools (logos, pathos, and ethos), Lambda Pi Eta recognizes student academic success and encourages students to develop leadership skills through participation in departmental, University, and community events. Students must meet minimum grade point average requirements and have faculty recommendations in order to secure membership in this prestigious honor society.

The Upsilon Phi Chapter is dedicated to raising the visibility of communication studies within the LMU community and helping our students prepare for the transition from college into their chosen career fields.
