The Laband Art Gallery is pleased to welcome renowned contemporary Mexican artist Betsabeé Romero to campus.

About the artist

Betsabeé Romero lives and works in Mexico City. She has realized more than 30 individual exhibitions in Mexico, the United States and Europe, and has participated in a large number of residencies and international biennials. Her work is part of important collections, including: the British Museum, Daros Collection in Switzerland, Phoenix Art Museum, Nelson & Atkins Nevada Museum of Art, World Bank in Washington D.C., Gelman (Mexico), MOCA Los Angeles, and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Porto Alegre (Brazil). She received an MA in Art History from UNAM, Mexico, an MFA from ENAP San Carlos, UNAM, Mexico, a BA from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico, and studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, France.
