Meet Tatum
Tatum Fouts is an LA-based dancer, choreographer, and performer. She is graduating from Loyola Marymount University in May of 2023 with BA in Dance and a Minor in Public Relations. She is trained and experienced in dance styles such as, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, and Jazz Funk with experience also in Afro-Brazilian dance, Contemporary Ballet, and traditional Korean dance. Tatum has worked as a dancer and choreographer since 2020. One of her recent live performances as a part of the Super Bowl LVI Field Cast. She has also been selected to choreograph and feature in multiple graduate student film pieces since her first year in university. Tatum has also been featured as a dancer and/or choreographer in multiple artists’ music videos, such as "Soleil" by 80purppp and "Good Enough" by Jovan Perez. During her time at LMU, she has also performed works by Miss Prissy, Lauren Froderman, Justice Domingo, Marcella Lewis, Fresh Redding, Taryn Vander Hoop, Laura Ann Smyth, Daeun Jung, and Vera Passos (Viver Brazil).
Tatum uses her role as a dancer and choreographer to comment on topics and issues she finds important, such as mental health, relationships, and spirituality. She has been passing along her knowledge to those around her as a dance educator since 2020 in spaces such as Oaks Christian High School and Serendipity Dance Company. Tatum has academic knowledge of Laban Movement Analysis along with practical knowledge of movement creation and movement sentence creation from New York’s Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) where she was awarded Arnhold Summer Fellow. In 2018, Tatum received a scholarship from the convention group, Artists Simply Human (ASH), to attend their Summer Intensive in New York.
