Meet Sydney

Sydney Latimer is a multifaceted dancer/choreographer from Las Vegas, Nevada and is currently based in Los Angeles. She attended Las Vegas Academy of The Arts majoring in Dance and trained as a company member, competing with The Rock Center For Dance. She is currently a senior dance major at Loyola Marymount University and continues to train in modern, jazz, ballet, choreography, hip hop, and contemporary. She is also on the LMU Spirit Squad for the University Basketball team and takes professional studio classes around LA. Sydney was selected to dance as a mentee with the I Am Force Mentorship program with choreographer Chehon Wespi-Tscopp, and Flux on Film with choreographer Jaci Royal. Through her time at LMU, Sydney has been cast in the works of contemporary choreographers Bernard Brown, Janessa Clark, and Marcella Lewis. As a choreographer, Sydney’s work focuses on the visual aesthetics of dance. She is drawn towards athleticism and choreography that is large and powerful. Post graduation, she aspires to dance professionally in the commercial industry as well as tour with a contemporary company.
