Meet Natalie
Raining from the Pacific Northwest, Natalie Pernas grew up in Portland, Oregon, where she trained at Studio One Dance Academy, Dance Vision Dance Studio, and Northwest Dance Project (NWDP). She has attended summer intensives with companies including NWDP, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and L.A. Contemporary Dance Company. She is versatile in styles including Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Modern, and African Diaspora. She has worked with artists including Montana Efaw, Ching-Ching Wong, Franco Nieto, Kelvin Vu, and Summer Lee Rhatigan.
While at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), Natalie has been in works by Linda Yudin and Layla Abdullah, Taryn VanderHoop, and Marcella Lewis. Natalie has been in numerous student works and has worked with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Co., WHYTEBERG, and Kyle Abraham/ AIM Company while at LMU. She is grateful to have trained under such amazing faculty including Rosalynde LeBlanc, Taryn VanderHoop, Bernard Brown, James Gregg, Laura Smyth, John Todd, Veronica Caudillo, and Damon Rago. While at LMU she was involved in NDEO, Movement Exchange, Dance Marathon, and Alpha Phi.
Natalie is excited to graduate this spring and is ready to take the world by storm. Her post-grad plans consist of traveling abroad this summer, and then staying put in the Los Angeles area in hopes to follow her two passions of dance and public relations/social media.
