Meet Renee

Renee Gangwish is a multifaceted dancer currently based in Los Angeles. While growing up in Colorado she danced competitively and has studied in a wide range of styles, including Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Latin Ballroom, and West African. Her drive to dance professionally led her to Loyola Marymount University, where she is currently a graduating senior, earning her Bachelors in Dance and Political Science, with a minor in International Relations.

During her time at LMU, Renee has performed works by numerous professional choreographers, including Joan Rodriguez, Alexa Nof, Jermaine McGhee, and Taryn Vander Hoop. She also had the opportunity to participate in the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show and dance abroad for a summer in Paris with our chair, Roz Leblanc. Renee also spent a semester interning for Britt Stewart’s nonprofit, Share the Movement, which works to increase diversity in the professional dance community and provide financial and educational support to young dancers. After graduation, she is excited to continue pursuing a career in commercial dance in Los Angeles, seeking any opportunity to learn, work, grow, and explore.
