Gabriella Alleyne

Meet Gabriella

Gabriella Alleyne is a dancer, creative, and social media strategist born and raised in New York City. She is currently located in Los Angeles, where she is a senior dance major and public relations minor at Loyola Marymount University. Alleyne is a Dance Theatre of Harlem School alum and has performed with the school and company at The Apollo Theater, New York City Center, the Disney Street Games, and the Lincoln Center Summer Stage Series.

In her time studying dance in a collegiate setting, she has performed choreography by Arnie Zane, Bernard Brown, DaEun Jung, Doug Varone, Laurie Sefton, Grayson McGuire and Shiori Kamijo, Noa Zuk, Taryn Vander Hoop, Colleen Thomas, and she has performed at The Bessies with Earl Mosley Diversity of Dance.

Alleyne is an advocate for the representation of girls of color. She has been a part of the Brown Girls Do Ballet (BGDB) organization since 2016 as an ambassador, mentor, and intern. Alleyne is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Kaleidoscope Teen Magazine (KTM). KTM is an online magazine and digital platform made for and by Gen Z female-identifying and nonbinary people of color. Through KTM and BGDB, she strives to promote diversity and representation for people of color in the media and the arts.

As an artist and creative, Alleyne loves to explore the intersection between film and dance and draws inspiration from how people view and experience the world differently because of their identities and individuality. She thrives in creative spaces in which collaboration and growth are at the forefront. Alleyne views all of the different layers of herself as an artist as a kaleidoscope that she loves to share with lovers of art, music, creation, and people.
