Drawing is the first art we learn when as children we develop visually, and it is the basis of our human visual language. Yet, drawing can be sophisticated and useful when it becomes the basis for a creativity and visual logic that explores observation and expression. Lower Division courses focus on giving students a solid foundation in skill acquisition and problem-solving and Upper Division courses, including workshop formats, allow students to explore many options for image and art making. The BFA in Drawing fosters students in developing a practice that can be applied to many future endeavors, including using your skills as a visionary or illustrator to benefit society and transform the field.
