LMU Chamber Ensembles

Chamber Ensembles at LMU explores the vast and diverse repertoire of music for small groups performed without a conductor. In chamber music, each player contributes to a collaborative musical effort, essentially, teamwork in real time. Weekly coachings and one of two independent weekly rehearsals are built into the course, culminating in performances at the end of each semester.

Chamber ensemble groups have opportunities to participate in outreach performances as well as collaborations with other CFA departments. Chamber Ensembles is open to all LMU students and community members, contingent upon a low-pressure audition by the end of the first week of each semester. All instruments welcome! LMU faculty and staff may contact HR to obtain tuition remission and register through PROWL. Community members click to register through LMU Extension.
