LMU Percussion Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble is open to all LMU students and community members with instructor consent by the end of the first week of each semester. Instrumentation is primarily “concert percussion,” but will also include some percussion instruments and playing techniques from around the world. Students work together in rehearsal and outside of class, and groups of variable size work with or without a conductor. The class culminates with a group performance and may include other performances (e.g. studio class.)

Requirements

Intermediate or higher level of rhythmic reading; pitch reading not required, but strongly desired; experience with concert percussion is preferred, but not required.
