Meara Boughey Memorial Scholarship
In 2023, the Meara Boughey Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Meara Boughey ’22, a theatre arts major and music minor, and active member of the LMU Choirs. Meara had a gift of song, and she spent her life sharing that gift with others. She passed away on March 12, five months after being diagnosed with leukemia. Meara was creative, kind, authentic, and a truly beautiful person with a passion for the arts that was apparent to all who knew her. She graduated from CFA summa cum laude in 2022, and received an award for having the highest academic record of all graduating seniors from the college. More about Meara
The scholarship will be awarded annually to passionate and hardworking theatre and music students based on a combination of merit and need. Meara was beloved by all who knew her. It is the greatest wish of those who loved her that this scholarship will help keep her beautiful spirit alive as well as honor her great love of theatre and music.
