Stages of AIDS 2017 | The Baltimore Waltz

Students performing in Baltimore Waltz

Written by Paula Vogel
Directed by Jim Holmes
Presented on Dec. 1-2, Barnelle Theatre

When Anna, an unmarried schoolteacher, is diagnosed with ATD (Acquired Toilet Disease, a fatal new malady with a high-risk factor for elementary school teachers), she and her brother Carl take flight to Europe. Vogel’s whimsical fantasy about siblings dealing with a fatal disease was inspired by her own brother’s death from AIDS in 1988.
