Ashley Hsu is an actress born and raised in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. She spent her childhood exploring different performance mediums, such as performing in speech festivals, dancing, and singing, which ultimately led her to develop a love for acting. Through taking theatre classes and participating in film acting summer camps, it deepened her love for the craft and solidified her choice to apply to theatre programs for college.

Ashley has had the incredible opportunity to pursue her passions at Loyola Marymount University and will be graduating with a BA in theatre arts and a minor in dance this May. During her time, she’s participated in various LMU mainstage productions, with some of her favorite roles being The Woman in Red Demon and Narrator and Evil Gabbi in She Kills Monsters. She’s also had the honor of being the first student to co-write and co-direct Haunting of Hannon with Kevin Wetmore for her senior thesis, where she also reprised her role as the Ask Rice Woman for the third time. In addition to theatre, Ashley has a love for film, which led her to joining Delta Kappa Alpha, the national cinematic arts fraternity, where she stands as the President of the Theta chapter.

Now based in Los Angeles, California, she’s excited for what’s to come. Acting has opened her world to opportunities and perspectives. If given the chance, Ashley would love to be a voice in her community to destigmatize Asians in the arts, as well as bring awareness to mental health efforts through her storytelling and performance.
