Drewes McFarling is an actor born in Santa Barbara, California. He first discovered his love of acting at age six performing as Friedrich von Trapp in The Sound of Music. From then on, he barely left the stage, performing in at least one stage production a year every year (until 2020, oops). He’s played a large variety of roles over the course of his stage career, from Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to Danny Zuko in Grease, to Charlie Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Drewes continued his theatrical pursuits in high school, acting in every show put on by his high school theatre department and even directing a Broadway Revue called Music of the Night his senior year.

Drewes attended Loyola Marymount University pursuing a BA in theatre arts (and by the time you read this, he’s probably graduated! He would greatly appreciate a graduation gift, cash preferred). At LMU, he participated wholeheartedly in every acting class he took, and every play he was cast in. He also took screenwriting and playwriting classes, and has written a few short films and plays (and is currently working on a feature script).

While at LMU, he had the opportunity to study abroad in Bonn and Berlin, Germany, learning from exceptional professors from the Moscow Art Theatre, the University of Zagreb Dramatic Academy, and the Michael Tschechow Studio. Drewes is looking forward to being a struggling artist in LA for the foreseeable future (but hopefully not too long).
