Stephanie Benson
Stephanie Benson is a Dance and Theatre Arts double major with a minor in Education. She
grew up training in musical theatre and dance which inspired a passion for storytelling and
spreading joy. She has performed in a variety of shows in- and outside of LMU, some favorites
including Carrie the Musical (Dance Captain/Ensemble), with MidLife Dance Project,
Everybody (Everybody/Somebody) and Save The Pier! (Colleen, Dir. Paul Sand). Stephanie also
choreographed four musicals at the Del Rey Players and co-choreographed the tap piece
Entangled which was selected for ACDA. Since high school, Stephanie has taught musical
theatre and dance, motivated to pass on knowledge and freedom of expression to younger
generations. Stephanie plans to continue her training in dancing, acting and singing as she
explores musical theatre dance opportunities in NYC. Stephanie also wants to continue to teach
and create an impact in performing arts education and nonprofits.
