Born and raised less than 2 hours from The Big Apple, Audrey Burns is a professional actress
from Fairfield, CT. Audrey is a natural-born performer, with her self-directed skits serving as a
staple in her living room during her years growing up. These skills made their way to the stage
when she “booked” her first role in the fourth grade, showcased as the “Lory Bird” in her
elementary school’s production of Alice in Wonderland. From that moment, she knew whatever
acting bug she’d caught would be chronic. Audrey went on to join her Downtown Community
Theatre and local Prep High School where she played roles varying from Viola in Twelfth Night
to Pennywise in Urinetown to even switching biblical accounts to play Judas in Godspell. She’s
even found theatre and performance as a means for social change. In high school, she
collaborated with the NY-based improv group, The Story Pirates, to create original theatre for
underprivileged students in Bridgeport, CT. Audrey has been pursuing this passion at Loyola
Marymount University for the last four years, where she will graduate this May with a B.A in
Theatre Arts. As part of her studies at LMU, Audrey spent a semester living in Germany
studying European theatre techniques through workshops with Moscow Art Theatre, the
University of Zagreb Dramatic Academy, and the Michael Tschechow Studio in Berlin. Audrey
looks forward to expanding her creative talents and continuing her acting pursuits post
graduation. And spare her living room, it can be assured that her self-directed skits will continue
forever.
