Ellen Hauxhurst is a young actress from the small agricultural town of Fresno, California which sits on the banks of the San Joaquin River. She spent most of her adolescent years as an average suburban kid until she landed her first role in “The Space Musical” in the third grade. After years of growth through roles in her high school theater group and community theater community, she decided this was something she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Ellen has found a true love for storytelling and the expression of the human experience, whether that be on the stage or in front of the camera. Some of her favorite roles include Harper in LMU’s mainstage production of June July August and Cat in How to be High All the Time, a recent production from the mind of Collette Robicheaux a current LMU SFTV graduate student. Ellen has also found a profound love for improvisation and now stands as the president of LMU’s premiere improv team, Laser Squad Bravo. Ellen is currently a full-time student at Loyola Marymount University where she is pursuing a degree in Theater with minors in screenwriting and film-production. When she is not acting Ellen likes to read, write and play the guitar. She also would like to consider herself a very skilled thrifter. She loves the outdoors and hopes to fulfill her life-long dream of hiking Half-Dome in Yosemite.
