Nya Jonele is an actor born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her inherent sense of whimsy was
kindled in the forests of the Wasatch mountains throughout her childhood and put to use when
she found theatre at five years old. Ever since, Nya has explored film, as well as community,
professional, and educational theatre. If you had a time machine, you could find Nya playing
roles such as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Morgan in Godspell, and Ariel Moore in
Footloose. She was recognized with the Rising Star Award at the University of Utah Youth
Theatre, and she is an alumna of the Open Jar Institute in New York City. Just as much as she’s
hitting the beach, Nya is hitting the books at Loyola Marymount University to obtain her B.A. in
Theatre Arts. She’s swapping the salty city for the city of stars, and she’s ready to show her
spunk.
