Camila Robles Ruiz Headshot

Camila Robles Ruiz is a Peruvian actress who grew up mainly in the suburbs of Rockville, Maryland. To escape the sticky heat of the Washington, D.C. area, her family often traveled back to Peru for the summer. In fact, it was one of these trips that kickstarted her passion for theatre. As a kid, she was always creating stories whether she was inside playing with her barbie dolls or outside adventuring through creeks and woods. Knowing her love of storytelling, her uncle took her to see a production of Mamma Mia! in Spanish, and at the sound of the first note, she was instantly overwhelmed by happy tears. Taking that as a  sign, she knew what she needed to do. Upon returning home, she auditioned for her first play and signed up for singing lessons. Now, she is excited to graduate from LMU with a major in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish. During her time at LMU, she’s participated in various productions, like In the Heights, Exit the King, and June July August. She also had the opportunity to study abroad and perform in Bonn, Germany with the theatre department. When she’s not acting, you can find Camila teaching herself new songs on guitar, volunteering at Mar Vista Family Center, learning new languages, and biking along the beach. Camila is excited to dedicate her career to storytelling, and can’t wait to see where life takes her!
