Sahaana Sakhamuru is an actress born in South India. She was introduced to the world of cinema in her early childhood. Her maternal grandfather, Narra Venkateswara Rao, was a well-respected South-Indian theatre and film actor through whom she had the greatest joy of being in an environment surrounded by artists, performers, and creatives. Though the seed of acting was dormant during her formative years, in her 10th grade, performing a self-written monologue for a simple class presentation unfolded this interest. Excited by this, she opted to study Theatre Arts in her IB Diploma Programme, the following two years. She dove into the formal study of Theatre, Drama, and Direction. She thoroughly enjoyed exploring a variety of acting materials as she performed in plays such as The Monkey’s Paw, Silence! The Court is in Session, and a monologue of Lady Macbeth. By the end of the course, she was convinced that she would pursue acting. However, due to societal and familial constraints, she had to choose Entrepreneurship as her major at LMU. Though she was excelling in her academics, her heart still yearned to act. Life blessed her with an unexpected opportunity to transfer to the Theatre Arts programme at LMUSahaana is currently pursuing BA in Theatre Arts at LMU. She is open to going wherever life and work takes her. Given the opportunity, she would not only use her art to entertain people but also would focus her art to inspire people towards a better tomorrow.
